Accessibility
Welcome! We are always working on becoming more accessible to people of diverse abilities, both on our campus and in the life of the congregation. If you have questions about accessibility, please contact our office at (805) 965-4583, or email ussb@ussb.org.
Mobility
If you are visiting us with a wheelchair, scooter, walker, stroller, or other mobility aid, our Arrellaga St. entrance is fully accessible. (Our entrance on Santa Barbara St. has stairs.) Our sanctuary is accessible via a ramp in our courtyard. Parish Hall is on ground level, also accessible through the courtyard. We have all-gender accessible restrooms in Parish Hall.
On our lower campus, all meeting rooms and classrooms are accessible with the exception of Blake Lounge and Blake Meeting Room, which are on the upper level of the Blake Building. Restrooms are on the ground level. There are ramps where LaPaz Alley meets Santa Barbara St. There is also an outdoor lift available which connects the upper and lower campus, located just off the labyrinth space to the right of the Blake Building.
Parking
We have two designated accessible spaces in the small lot in LaPaz Alley, as well as a designated blue curb parking space on Arrellaga St. There are designated white curb drop-off spaces on Arrellaga St. and Santa Barbara St.
Hearing & Vision
We have a t-coil hearing loop installed in the sanctuary and in Parish Hall that is compatible with most hearing aids, and there are headsets available for any who need hearing assistance.
We have large print hymnals available. Please ask an usher if you need assistance locating one.
