    Auction Theme 2021: Bluegrass!
    Donation Deadline: Thursday, September 30
Week of Bidding: Sunday, October 3 to Saturday, October 9
Celebration Event and Raffle: Saturday, October 9 at 5:00 p.m.
Our theme this year is ‘Bluegrass’ and our celebration event will include a live (virtual) bluegrass performance. Dust off your fiddles, tune up your banjos, and get ready to celebrate in folksy style.
As with each annual fundraiser, the goal is to raise money to support the programs and actions of the Unitarian Society while providing opportunities for community and connection. Like last year, our auction will be held online, with bidding taking place over the course of a week.
We are soliciting donations now. All the fun and safe auction items inspired us last year, and we hope to continue this new tradition of creative offerings…

Church Warming – Helping Hands Needed
Staff are looking for a few sets of helping hands to assist us in organizing our facilities. After almost a year and a half of irregular use, the facilities need a little loving care to ready us for a fuller presence on campus. Volunteers are needed to help us strategize and organize the work room, kitchen, and basement for staff and congregational use. This work can be done on your own schedule, and households are encouraged to work together, if possible. We’d love your help getting our facilities ship shape! Contact Erin if you are able to assist.

    Zoom Chat with Salud Carbajal
ECOFaith of Santa Barbara would like to invite any interested members of this congregation to join with them for an online chat with Congressman Salud Carbajal. The intent of this conversation is to get a personal update on the highlights of the Infrastructure and Social Spending bills recently passed by the House, as they relate to climate change, the environment and sustainability. The Congressman will also share with us his views on how faith based groups can best support this pending legislation as well as ways to protect the environment, promote sustainability, and address climate change.

Closed Captioning (Live Transcript) During Zoom Services
Did you know that Zoom has a feature that allows for closed captioning during the service? Please be aware it may work differently depending on your device. On a computer, click on the “Live Transcript” button to turn it on. From that same button, you can also adjust your subtitle settings as you see fit.
If you do not see a “Live Transcript” button, look for the three dots button (next to the “Leave” button) at the bottom of your screen. Click the three dots and then click “Show Subtitles.” Automatically generated subtitles should then appear on your screen.
Note that this is an automatic computer generated feature, so sometimes the captions will not be accurate. Please visit the Zoom website at www.zoom.us for more information on this feature and for any troubleshooting.
