Happy 150th Anniversary USSB!

On November 10, 1876, USSB’s first Sunday Service was held in a rented hall with the newly arrived minister, Rev. George Young, presiding. And the rest is history…our history! And we are going to celebrate it starting in July and culminating in a party on Sunday, November 15, 2026.

There can be many elements of this months-long celebration:

– Art and Craft: a logo; a banner; wall/table displays of ephemera & memorabilia

– Programs (historic eras, events, recollections; children’s R.E.)

– History (printed book, Kaleidoscope teasers, Service Reflections

– Publicity/Promotion

– Swag and Keepsakes

November 15th:

– Sunday Service (recognition of long-term members; group photos)

– Party (photo booth with props; time capsule; food, drink and music)

Would you like to brainstorm these ideas and develop more? Would you like to plan and implement any one of them? We will meet on Sunday, May 3rd, after the service to share our ideas and begin to create teams to work on the various elements.
