Mardi Gras Auction 2014
Date(s) - 10/11/2014
4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
A Night at the mardi gras!
Break out your beads and boas – it’s time to party Mardi! Be part of the fun (and fundraising) when the Parish Garden turns into Basin Street for our Mardi Gras Celebration and Auction. Meet friends, sample N’awlins-style chow, and fill your social calendar with exciting events and services offered at the auction.
New to the Auction?
If you’re attending our auction for the first time, you may feel a bit overwhelmed. Never fear! Just ask for help when you register, and a friendly, experienced host will guide you through the entire process. We love newcomers!
How to Get Your Auction Brochure
The printed auction brochure is distributed during social hour on Sunday, September 28 in the Parish Garden. Unclaimed brochures for members and friends are then mailed on Monday, September 29. (We hope you pick yours up and save USSB the postage!) The auction brochure is also posted on our website www.ussb.org.
How to Register
Preregister: We encourage you to preregister by providing payment information at our auction table in the Parish Garden on September 28 and October 5. Or preregister online at www.ussb.org.
At the auction: Enter through our garden entrance to register. Give us your payment information and we’ll give you bidding labels. We’ll move you through as quickly as possible. (Preregistration makes it much faster for you!)
How to Volunteer
Thank you for thinking of helping out. We need many volunteers to be of service on auction night. Contact Erin Wilson at email@example.com or sign up at our auction table in the Parish Garden September 28 and October 5.

1. May I bring guests?
Please do! What a festive way to introduce your bons amis to our congregation.
2. What about childcare?
Children are welcome at the auction. Childcare is provided free and begins at 3 pm for parents who are on early volunteer duty.
3. Will refreshments be served?
Mais oui! The Mardi Gras Celebration and Auction includes a menu délicieux of hors d’oeuvres and beverages. But you’ll want to eat a substantial lunch or an early dinner before you arrive; our delectable goodies are not a replacement for a full meal.
4. Do I need to wear a costume?
Please dress up as much as you are comfortable. Anything from a string of beads to head-to-toe feathers and bling will make you a member of the krewe!
