DESCRIPTION:Opportunity to meet the next UUA President – May 20 in person
  and on-line.\n\nThe Rev. Dr. Sofia Betancourt\, the single candidate for 
 president of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA)\, will visit the
  Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara to discuss theology and ethics\, as we
 ll as support and credentialing for religious professionals. We are privil
 eged to host the only West Coast venue for Dr. Betancourt to introduce her
 self in person.\n\nThe President of the UUA is the primary public and spir
 itual leader of Unitarian Universalism\, as well as the UUA’s Chief Exec
 utive Officer. They are tasked with helping to lead our Association on a p
 ath to Beloved Community\, in which people of diverse backgrounds\, identi
 ties\, and theological beliefs can thrive.\n\nFollowing Dr. Betancourt’s
  discussion\, the Alliance of USSB will host a reception in Parish Hall. Y
 ou will have a chance to meet our next UUA President as well as congregant
 s from all around our area. This will be an afternoon of strengthening our
