Kinship

In our response to the climate crisis, we are moving from “conservation” towards an environmental justice model. As we celebrate Earth Day, how do we move beyond a simple appreciation of the beauty of our environment and into a deeper awareness of our kinship with the planet?

Guest speaker Dr. Alice O’Connor is a Professor of History and Director of the Blum Center on Poverty, Inequality, and Democracy at UCSB, and a lead author of the recent Central Coast Regional Equity Study.

The April 24 service will take place both in-person and online.
