Mother’s Day: It’s Complicated

Our relationship to the concept of “mothering” is multi-faceted and complex. This Sunday, we will be recognizing the joys, sorrows, and complexities that come with this holiday, and sharing about one facet that is often overlooked: Birth Mothers (also called biological mothers or first mothers or non-binary birth parents) who have, for many different reasons, had a child placed in adoption. Let us expand our understanding of the many things that “Mother’s Day” can mean, so that we can truly become an inclusive and loving community where everyone’s life story is honored.

Sunday worship is held in-person as well as virtually on Zoom and on Facebook every week at 10:00 a.m.

Weekly worship services are followed by an informal time to chat and check in. Online coffee hour starts a few minutes after the service ends.
