The Martineau Window & Radical Dissent

Continuing our conversation about the names on the windows in our physical Sanctuary, we turn toward Harriet and James Martineau, siblings from England and leaders in the British Unitarian movement of the mid-1800s. Harriet was a social theorist and author who defied the expectations of her gender, and James was a Unitarian minister and theologian who pushed the boundaries of liberal religious thought. What does it mean to live up to their legacy of dissent?
