The Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara is a historic nondenominational church with a long tradition as a wonderful wedding location.

Our congregation’s inclusive philosophy makes this special place well suited for couples of every kind.

Built in 1930 in the city’s signature Spanish Revival style, the Unitarian Society campus includes the sanctuary, a reception hall, a terrace, and two gardened courtyards. The sanctuary’s rustic glamour is enhanced by stained-glass windows and exquisite acoustics. Walk down the aisle to the sound of our 1,500-pipe organ or our Steinway concert piano.

Following the ceremony, outdoor receptions are usually held in the Parish Courtyard. Lovely and serene, this bricked floral garden provides a spacious yet intimate environment for receptions up to 200 guests. Once the sun sets, the palm tree lights provide a romantic luster.

Inside Parish Hall, the hardwood floor is great for dancing, and a proscenium stage flanked by red velvet curtains puts the entertainment on display. Parish Hall features party lights, an upgraded audio-visual system, and a full commercial kitchen.

Flexible and welcoming, the Unitarian Society is a charming place to host unforgettable events.
